Tour of Duty

In his first tour, he served as a helicopter door gunner with the shot gun platoon of the 118th Aviation Company on TDY from the 25th Infantry. His second tour was with the First Air Cavalry from November 1965 to November 1966. Duke's last tour was from 1969 and 1970 with Papa Company of the 75th Infantry Rangers. 

All 1st Cavalry Division Airmobile veterans who served an honorable tour of duty in The Republic of South Vietnam were awarded decorations. The standard package for all who served includes the decorations shown to the right. In addition to your standard decorations package you may have orders for additional awards and decorations, such as silver stars, bronze stars, purple hearts, CIB, CMB, parachute wings, ranger tabs etc.
